SB23-036: Veterans with Disabilities Property Tax Exemption Requirements

Instead of veterans having to apply for a property tax exemption through the division of veterans affairs, this law will direct individuals to their county tax assessor. This will simplify and expedite the process so that our veterans get the care they need without the extra headache or bureaucracy. Additionally, this bill will free the Division of Veterans Affairs from about 1,111 hours of unnecessary work, allowing time to assist Colorado Veterans with other matters.
