Law Enforcement & Crime

We need to return to treating law enforcement like heroes, instead of treating them like villains. I will fight ANY legislation that makes it harder for law enforcement to do their jobs. We need to repeal SB 217 because it ties the hands of law enforcement. We also need to reform the criminal justice system, specifically with Personal Recognizance (PR) bonds. PR bonds have created a "catch-and-release" system in Colorado which has skyrocketed our recidivism rate (repeat offenders) to #4 in the entire country. Meth, Opioid, and Fentanyl have ushered in a wave of crime and theft in our state. Colorado is now #1 in auto thefts. Colorado deserves better - we HAVE TO DO BETTER, to make our state safer again.
